Seminar Highlights | SPACE4ALL: Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers
The Space Research Center (SRC) at the University of Central Punjab (UCP), in collaboration with RESOLVE and the National Space Agency SUPARCO, successfully organized an insightful seminar titled “SPACE4ALL: Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers”. The event aimed to spark curiosity and passion for space technology among students and aspiring engineers. The seminar was dedicated to Electro Optical (EO-1) satellite Team - SUPARCO.
Dr. M. Kamran Saleem from UCP, along with his team of young engineers, presented various student-developed satellite prototypes, including CanSat, CubeSat, and FloatSat. These innovative models demonstrated the practical applications of satellite technology and provided a hands-on learning experience for students. In addition, the team showcased a basic model rocket prototype and the CanSat deployment mechanism, offering an exciting glimpse into real-world aerospace engineering projects.
One of the seminar's key highlights was the exhibition of a fully functional satellite ground station. Attendees had the opportunity to observe its complete hardware setup and understand its crucial role in satellite communication and data reception. Watch the highlights of the seminar in the video below, which captures key moments, expert insights, and engaging discussions.
Director
Farhan A. Chaudhry from SUPARCO acknowledged the remarkable efforts of SRC-UCP in
advancing space research and education. He provided valuable feedback on
improving the quality and performance of the satellite ground station developed
by SRC-UCP, further strengthening the university’s contributions to Pakistan’s
space technology sector.
The Seminar effectively united academia, industry professionals, and aspiring engineers to explore the vast potential of space technology. It provided an inspiring platform for students to connect with real-world applications of satellite technology and motivated them to drive innovation for the future.
