SRC-UCP Secures Overall 1st Position at SEE Pakistan 2026

The Space Research Center (SRC-UCP), University of Central Punjab , has achieved a major national milestone by securing the Overall 1st Position at SEE Pakistan 2026 . The competition brought together innovators, startups, researchers, students, and technology teams from across Pakistan. Approximately 4,000 applications were received nationwide, followed by 17 regional rounds , from which the Top 100 startups were selected for the final expo. Finalists competed across six categories , and SRC-UCP was honored to emerge as the overall winner at the national level . For our team, this recognition represents much more than winning a competition. It validates a vision that we have been pursuing for several years: making advanced space and satellite technologies more accessible through hands-on learning, real hardware, real signals, real data, and real mission experience . Training Workshop: Radio Astronomy - RADIIO — A Modern ‘Silk Road’ via Radio Astronomy Education

On 4 April 2026 , the team from the Space Research Center (SRC), University of Central Punjab (UCP) participated in a truly unique event — the concluding workshop of the IAU Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) project titled “Training Workshop: Radio Astronomy” in Pakistan, organized by the Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) at the Divisional Public School & Intermediate College, Township Branch, Lahore . The event was part of the international RADIIO project — Radio Astronomy for Development, Intercultural Innovation, and Outreach — a global initiative connecting Pakistan, Greece, and China through a modern ‘Silk Road’ of radio astronomy education. The SRC-UCP team was invited to conduct the flagship hands-on session: “Make Your Own Radio Satellite” — bringing their CANSAT Explorer kits and satellite models to school students for the very first time.
