Making Space Technology Accessible: SRC’s Showcase at Lahore Science Mela 2025

We were thrilled to represent the Space Research Center (SRC) , of the University of Central Punjab , at the Lahore Science Mela 2025, organized by the Khwarizmi Science Society . The event, held on 25–26 October at Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore, brought together inquisitive students, dedicated educators, and innovative thinkers under one dynamic roof. Over the course of two high-energy days, our team showcased forward-thinking research projects, functioning prototypes, and hands-on science demonstrations to hundreds of students, teachers, and science enthusiasts . Our interactive educational satellite models and other STEM activities made space technology fun, accessible, and inspiring. Remarkably, we welcomed more than 2,500 visitors across the two-day event. Space Camp 2025 (5 of 5): UET Lahore - Design, Build and Launch Your First Satellite

The fifth and final chapter of Space Camp 2025 arrived at one of Pakistan’s most prestigious engineering institutions — the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore — on 27–28 September 2025 . Organized by the Space Research Center (SRC), University of Central Punjab (UCP) in collaboration with SUPARCO’s Space Education and Awareness Drive (SEAD) , Research Solutions & Ventures (RESOLVE) , the Mechatronics Club UET , and UET Lahore , this two-day camp brought the series to a triumphant close. Led by Dr. M. Kamran Saleem, Associate Professor and Director of the Space Research Center (SRC-UCP), and Dr. Muhammad Waseem, Director of RESOLVE (SUPARCO), the camp gave UET students a hands-on journey through real satellite engineering — from subsystem theory to the excitement of launch day. The fourth stop of the Space Camp 2025 series landed at the Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore from 23 to 25 September 2025 . With just one camp remaining in the series, the energy and momentum were at their peak — and ITU delivered one of the largest and most dynamic editions yet.
